Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Yandex is a Chromium based internet browser developed by the guys that have created the Yandex search engine. It has an intuitive graphical interface and provides easy access to some internet services like mail or cloud and has synchronization features for bookmarks, extensions and browser data with other mobile devices.
Recently, the first Yandex Beta version for Linux has been developed, having all the main features of the Windows version. By default it uses the Yandex search engine, but you can easily change that.
To install it on your 64 bit Ubuntu, Debian or a derivative system like Linux Mint, Pinguy OS, Elementary OS, Deepin, Peppermint, LXLE or Linux Lite, you can download the DEB package from the official site and install it:
$ sudo dpkg -i ~/Downloads/Yandex.deb
Also, for 64 bit RPM based systems like Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia and OpenMandriva, there is also a rpm package here. Just download and install it:
And, for Arch Linux, Manjaro, Antergos and other Arch Linux systems, you can easily install it via AUR:
$ sudo rpm -i ~/Downloads/Yandex.rpm
$ sudo yaourt -S yandex-browser-beta
