Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Canonical has officially announced that Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet will be released on the 23rd of April, 2015.

Also, the dates for the development versions of Ubuntu 15.04 have been announced:
- Alpha 1 – December 18, 2014
- Alpha 2 – January 22, 2015
- Beta 1 – February 26, 2015
- Final Beta – March 26, 2015
- Kernel Freeze – April 9th
- Release Candidate – April 16, 2015
- Ubuntu 15:04 Vivid – April 23, 2015
For those who don’t know yet, the development of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet has started a few days after the release of Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn. Like Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 15.04 will be also using Unity 7 and X.org by default, but Unity 8 and Mir will be installable via the default repositories.
