Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Plank is the default dock app on Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, but it can be easily installed on other Ubuntu based systems, enabling the users to place their favorite apps in the dock, for an easier usage.

Because it is available via the PPA, installing Plank 0.7.1 on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04 and derivative systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the plank package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/docky
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install plank

Optional, to remove plank, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove plank
