Hello Linux Geeksters. Audacious is an open-source music player, available on Linux. I like it because it supports Winamp skins. The latest version available is Audacious 3.4.3, which has been released a few days ago, bringing only some bugfixes to the previous version.
In this article I will show you how to install Audacious 3.4.3 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Audacios 3.4.3 on the latest Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the audacious package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install adacious
