Hello Linux Geeksters. A while ago, a bunch of misleading photos of the Meizu MX3 phone running Ubuntu Touch and having an “Ubuntu Certified” have been leaked to the press.
Not long after that, Jono Bacon, the Ubuntu Community Manager has put an end to all the rumors that the he first Ubuntu Touch smartphone will be released by Meizu by posting the below funny and explanatory photo on his Google Plus Account.
So, for sure, Meizu is not the first Ubuntu Touch manufacturer. If it was, most probably Canonical would have been announced it already.
