QMPlay2 15.06.26 Includes Small Fixes Only

QMPlay2 has been updated yet again, reaching version 15.06.26.

QMPlay2 is a cross-platform open-source media player, written in Qt, working on both Linux and Windows, having support for the most popular audio formats, including: OGG Vorbis, MP3, AAC, MODs, AudioCD, AIFF, WAV and FLAC.

The latest version available is QMPlay2 15.06.26, which has been recently released, coming with the below changes:

  • better VSync support for OpenGL video output;
  • OpenSLES audio output (for Android);
  • basic OS X support;
  • minor bug fixes.

Installation instructions:

The latest QMPlay2 builds are available via Sam Rog’s PPA, this allowing the users to easily install QMPlay2 and keep it up to date.

To install QMPlay2 on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and derivative systems, like Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2, you have to add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the qmplay2 package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qmplay2

Optional, to remove qmplay2, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove qmplay2
