As you may know, Ubuntu Touch is Canonical mobile version of Ubuntu Touch.

Mark Shuttleworth’s big dream is to turn Ubuntu into a full mobile-desktop convergent system, meaning that the same code base will be used for all architectures. Also, the convergent system has a responsive interface, the same app being full screen only on tablets and with an adjustable size on desktop systems.

According to a Q&A session, a developer has announced that a phone docked to a screen and a keyboard turns into a regular computer, the users being able to initiate phone calls directly from the terminal.

As a reminder, Ubuntu Touch is a stable operating system, but it is not mature enough, compared to Android and iOS. For now, there are three Ubuntu Phones: Bq Aquaris E5 HD, Bq Aquaris E4.5, Meizu MX4, but the system is also officially supported on the LG Nexus 4 device.
