With the OTA-6 update released, Ubuntu Touch OTA-7 has been scheduled for the first week of October, having vibration support and accelerometer access for web apps.
The Ubuntu Touch OTA-7 Update will be released in about 6 weeks and will have new features and apps. From the official announcement:
“Next stop – OTA-7 in ~6 weeks,” says Łukasz Zemczak. “For OTA-7 there are even more goodies planned, with things like vibration/accelerometer access in webapps, new scope features and a lot of convergence additions. More on those in the nearest days.”
As a reminder, Ubuntu Touch is a stable operating system, but it is not mature enough, compared to Android and iOS. For now, there are three Ubuntu Phones: Bq Aquaris E5 HD, Bq Aquaris E4.5, Meizu MX4, but the system is also officially supported on the LG Nexus 4 device.
