As you may know, Hedgewars is a clone of the popular Worms game, but it uses hogs, not worms. The users can choose from a lot of 2D maps, use different weapons or punches to kill the hogs from the rival teams.
The latest version available is Hedgewars 0.9.22, which has been released a while ago.
Installation instructions:
Up to date packages are available via PPA, so installing the game on Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf, Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.x and Elementary OS 0.3 Freya systems is easy.
All you need to do is add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the hedgewars package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costamagnagianfranco/hedgewars
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install hedgewars
Optional, to remove hedgewars, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove hedgewars
