MuPDF is an open-source, lightweight PDF viewer written in C, with all the basic features of any other PDF viewer and vim-like keybinds.
The latest version available is MuPDF 1.8, which has been recently released, coming with changes.

- New URW fonts with greek and cyrillic.
- 64-bit file support.
- Ghostscript proofing mode (source only; not in shipped binaries).
EPUB improvements:
- User style sheets.
- GIF images (also for CBZ).

Bug fixes:
- Updated FreeType to version 2.6.1.
- Various font substitution bug fixes.
- Fix setjmp/longjmp behaviour which could cause optimizing compilers to misbehave.
Installation instructions:
The latest MuPDF builds are available via some third party PPA, so installing it on Ubuntu is easy. Just add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the mupdf and mupdf-tools packages:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/apps
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install mupdf mupdf-tools
Optional, to remove mupdf, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove mupdf mupdf-tools
The installation instructions should work on Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf, Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and derivative systems like Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04 and Linux Lite 2.
