Unlike other launchers, Mozilla’s provides a Smart Search function that looks over the internet, including popular internet services like Spotify, Youtube, Google Play Store, Wikipedia etc, and works with both text and vocal commands.

Also, the Smart Folder feature displays the applications categorized, based on their type, social apps altogether in the social folder, the email clients and the internet browsers separately, etc.

There is also a Prediction feature implemented, suggesting applications based on time, ideal for users having a fixed schedule.

Besides the internet browser, the Mozilla developers are already working at Firefox OS, their own MeeGo based operating system, based on HTML5.For now, it is used as default on smartphones with modest hardware specs, developed by LG, ZTE, Alcatel and Geeksphone.

While Firefox OS has been experimentally ported to the Google Nexus 7 tablet, Mozilla has teamed up with Foxconn and VIA Technologies, in order to release Firefox OS based tablets.
